About ASTEL Labs
ASTEL Labs is a new company preparing to supply research materials to laboratories. Before we offer anything, we are building the catalog and the documentation behind it: what each material is, where its identifiers come from, and which laboratory report covers each lot.
Why we started with documentation
When a lab evaluates a research material, the useful questions are simple. What exactly is it? Where do the identifiers come from? Which laboratory tested this lot, by which method, and what did they find?
Those answers are often hard to find, or stated without anything behind them. We want every answer on this site to point to its source: a reference record for the identifiers, and a named laboratory's report for each lot.
We do not operate a laboratory. Testing is reported by the laboratory that performed it, named on every report. A report is marked verified only when we have confirmed it with that laboratory.
What the site does today
- A reference catalog
- Each material is listed with identifiers taken from public reference records, cited so you can check them.
- A batch report archive
- Certificates of analysis will be filed under the lot number printed on the label. The archive is ready; no authentic reports exist yet.
- Technical resources
- Short, sourced summaries of the regulations, standards and compound records that apply to research materials.
- Institutional access
- Organisations that need documents which are not public can apply. Each application is reviewed by a person.
Where things stand
ASTEL Labs is in prelaunch. We are not supplying any material, and there is no way to place an order on this site.
Before we do, three things have to be in place: the legal clearance for each material, an approved testing programme with named laboratories, and our company details published on this page. Still to be published: registered name, registration number, business location, email, telephone, established, leadership.
