Testing & Documentation

How materials will be tested, how batch reports are published, and what each document status means.

Current status

Testing programme pending approval

The laboratories, methods, acceptance criteria and testing frequency have not been finalised. They will be published on this page once they are approved.

No authentic batch report has been published yet.

How a report reaches this site

  1. A laboratory tests the lot

An independent laboratory analyses a sample from the lot and issues a certificate of analysis. ASTEL Labs does not operate a laboratory.

  2. We publish the report under its lot number

The report appears on the material's page and in the batch archive, with the laboratory, report number, date, methods and results.

  3. We confirm it with the laboratory

Where we have confirmed the report with the laboratory, it is marked verified and the basis is recorded. Until then it says so.

  4. Corrections become revisions

If a report is corrected, the new version is published as a revision. Earlier versions stay available.

Document statuses

Every document carries one of these. None of them is a certification.

Verified with laboratory
Confirmed with the laboratory that issued it. The person who confirmed it and how are recorded with the document.
Not yet verified
Published as received from the supplier or laboratory, and not yet confirmed. It is not described as independently verified.
Superseded
A corrected revision exists. The older version stays available so a copy you already hold can still be checked.
No report published
No certificate has been published for the lot.
Demonstration (fictional)
A fictional record used before launch to show how reports will look. Never a laboratory result.

Looking for a specific lot?

Search the batch archive by the lot number on the label. If you hold a copy of a report, you can also check it against the published file there.
